December was a whirlwind. I’m sure many of you can relate. However, I did manage to get ALL of my Christmas shopping finished without ever stepping foot in the mall. So that’s a small victory. In all honesty, I struggled coming up with any favorites for this month, because I seriously couldn’t even remember what I used or wore or even gave a crap about all month. Literally, this was the month of “Just make it happen and eat some more,” also known as “What are vegetables?” Yeah. January is hitting me hard. Anyway, I did manage to make my memory work and recall several loves of the month, which range from home scents to nail polish.
The Madewell Billie Boot in English Saddle
I was so hoping for these for Christmas, and my mom came through. You know I love my Billies in black, and these brown ones are already becoming my new favorite.
Lush’s The Rough With The Smooth Body Scrub
This. Thing. I am obsessed with Lush’s Lord of Misrule scent. They just recently added a shower gel and this scrub to the mix with the same smell, and I absolutely love it. This scrub is gritty yet moisturizing, and the patchouli and black pepper scent is incredible.
Caudalie’s Vinosource SOS Morning Eye Rescue
I first heard of this product from my (imaginary) homegirl, Estee Lalonde. I love using it every morning after my skincare routine, and it really does help brighten and de-puff the under-eye area when it looks super tired.
Capri Blue Reed Diffuser in Volcano
The Anthropologie Volcano scent is hands down my favorite home fragrance of all time. Kyle’s aunt gifted me this for Christmas and this smell combined with our Christmas tree (yes, it’s still up) is my favorite thing ever. The reed diffusers are also really awesome because they last longer than candles.
Essie polish in “Russian Roulette”
I bought this polish specifically for Christmas, because it was such a perfectly bright shade of red. I will definitely be wearing this one for a long time. Red is my go-to polish color anyway.
Balsam Incense by Izola
No one loves balsam/pine scented things more than my husband, and even I can get behind this incense. Balsam is a scent that can ground and rejuvenate, and can help clear the mind for focus and meditation. I am really loving incense in general these days, and this one will definitely liven up our home for the rest of the winter.
BaubleBar Prism Double Dipper Crawler Set
I scored these for just $10 during BaubleBar’s 12 Days of Christmas sales, and I love them. They are dainty and have totally turned me on to crawler earrings.
I fell in love with this magazine when I picked up a copy in Anthropologie one day, and it is just so gorgeous. Their mission statement is also beautiful, and since the magazine is all about empowering women, I’m in.
What inspired you last month? What should I know about?!
