FIVE MINUTE DIY LIP SCRUB

Posted on Mar 6, 2015 in BEAUTY, CREATE, STYLE

My friend texted me the other day and said “KRQD, I need a homemade lip scrub recipe. Is that on your blog somewhere?” It is now, friend!

This scrub is wonderful and literally took five minutes. Hence the name.

You will need four ingredients:
1 tablespoon coconut oil
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon almond oil (or honey)
5 drops peppermint essential oil

IMG_0623Mix all that together in a bowl and store in a small container. That’s literally it.

I reused a sample pot from Lush, and put the rest in another small mason jar to save for later. I like tiny pots so I can keep it with me in my bag, but I am on the hunt for tiny glass jars for scrubs and lip balms. Let me know if you know where I can get those, because I’ve looked everywhere!

IMG_0624IMG_0625You can use any sort of essential oil that you want, but peppermint definitely makes the most sense to me since it’s a lip product. The best part about this scrub is that it’s edible. You can totally just lick that stuff right off. #sugarhigh

Let me know if you decide to try this recipe! What have you been using to deal with dry skin? I’m always interested in new products!
