These days, I have much more important things to do in the morning than worry about a lengthy makeup routine. I have long days (usually 10 hours, sometimes more), so I need my makeup to last, but not feel gross after a few hours. I have also found that my skin appreciates any effort to minimize the amount of products I use. Here are a few products I’ve been consistently reaching for to make myself look less like a zombie, but not like a beauty pageant contestant.
Step One: Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer
As you can see, I’ve put this one to pretty good use. I love this concealer for covering under-eye circles and redness. It’s thick and creamy, and it stays on really well. without creasing.
Step Two: tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation
I know I have talked about this foundation a million times, but it really is the easiest way to get a natural looking full coverage foundation application. It feels good on my skin and doesn’t make it feel disgusting after a few hours at work or school.
Step Three: benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer
This bronzer is amazing, and adds just enough warmth to the face. I love the matte finish, but you can also use a bronzer with some shimmer if you want a little glow.
Step Four: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz
You have to have your brows on, people. It makes you look more awake and put together. The super skinny pencil is easy to use for a quick, natural looking brow, and it stays on forever. For color reference, I use the color Medium Brown.
Step Five: Maybelline Volum’ Express The Falsies Mascara
This is my ultimate go-to drugstore mascara, and I use it pretty much every day. It adds volume and length, and stays put. I don’t like waterproof mascaras, so I use the regular version, and it still lasts through my long days, and even workouts.
Bonus Step: tarte LipSurgence Matte Lip Tint
Use whatever lip color you love at the moment to brighten up your face! I used this one by tarte in the shade “Lucky.”
This look literally takes about five minutes to complete, leaving you plenty of time to have an extra cup of coffee, or snooze a few extra minutes in the morning. This works perfectly on days when you’re running a little (or a lot) late, too!
