A lot of things happened this month.
I started off the year with a NYE hangover, and swore I’d never do that to myself again (or, you know, I could try eating some food if I’m going to drink). I started back to school and fell IN SERIOUS LOVE with being on campus. I started running again, semi-consistently. I blog-planned my heart out. I wrote for a blog tour. I drank approximately 87 cups of coffee and according to my fitbit, walked/ran about 90 miles. Those numbers are oddly close, so I’m considering my caffeine intake directly effects my activity level.
Honest Company Organic Healing Balm
I know I have featured this product before (probably last winter), but it is one of the only things that will save my terribly dry skin and lips in the colder months. I used to be addicted to Aquaphor, but I have tried to remove the petroleum-based ointments out of my life. This Honest one is made without petroleum or mineral oils, so I feel a lot better about using it, especially on my mouth.
The Good Hippie Center Mist
I featured an entire post about The Good Hippie’s products, but this one has been my favorite lately. Of course, I’m using the skincare products daily, but I have also enjoyed the mental balance I get from this spray. I like to spray it on my yoga mat, my clothes and around whatever area I’m in when I’m trying to focus on school or blogging. It helps so much and smells lovely.
NARS Sheer Glow Foundation
Basically every blogger in the history of blogging has featured this foundation at one point or another. After a series of unfortunate trips to my local Sephora, I finally nabbed a bottle of this stuff and have loved it ever since. I don’t wear it every day, but I love the coverage it has without feeling too thick. I like my foundation to feel like my skin, and this one does the job.
Makeup Forever HD Pressed Powder
To set my makeup, I have been loving this powder. Obviously, because I’ve hit serious pan on this one. It comes in a bright white shade and goes on translucent. The powder sinks into the skin nicely without making me look like Marie Antoinette, and lightly sets my foundation and concealer.
Hum Nutrition Killer Nails
Hum actually sent these to me for free and I love them. My nails are the most brittle and miserable nails you’ve ever seen, so these are much appreciated. I have only been taking them for a couple of weeks, so I’m excited to really see a difference in the weeks ahead.
Southern Birds Necklace and Grey Sweatshirt Cardigan, both from Birds of a Feather
This necklace was a Christmas gift from my brother and was featured on my New Year’s Eve party look. I have been wearing it to work and school a lot lately, and I always get so many compliments on it. It has a green tassle, which adds just a little color to my typically gray/black/tan ensembles.
As for the cardigan, I picked this up right after the holidays, and I’ve literally worn it almost every day since. Truth be told, it’s not really a flattering shape, but it is the perfect soft, lightweight item I can wear over my yoga clothes when I’m going to and from the studio. Plus, it’s nice and cozy for when I’m just relaxing at home or doing homework on the couch.
